Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our remote team. This role focuses on testing and quality assurance for the Lustre file system, as well as other middleware and infrastructure components, in HPC and AI environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using shell (sh and bash), C programming, Python, and Rust.
- Develop and execute test plans for Lustre, middleware, and infrastructure in custom automated test environments.
- Utilize Jira for issue tracking, test case management, and collaboration with development teams.
- Troubleshoot test failures, analyze results, and ensure high reliability and performance in HPC workflows.
- Collaborate on integrating testing practices into Lustre development and open-source contributions.
- Monitor and optimize test environments for efficiency in cloud and on-premises setups.
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions to promote best practices in testing.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong proficiency in shell scripting (sh and bash), C programming, Python, and general testing knowledge, with experience in Rust a plus.
- Expertise in automated testing tools and practices, including custom test environments and Jira.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and HPC infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, networking, and security.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills for a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- HPC testing experience, particularly with storage systems like Lustre or similar.
- Experience with custom automated test environments and test automation frameworks.
- Contributions to open-source testing projects.
- Knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Background in performance optimization and testing for distributed systems.
